Foglizzo is a leading company in the design and processing of high-quality leathers for clients who require exclusivity and individual customization. Founded in 1921, today it works for different industrial sectors, such as yachting, aviation, automotive, fashion and residential and hospitality interior design.
THE CHALLENGE
Foglizzo offers an additional customization service for architects and designers, that combines their creativity with the ‘savoir faire’ of the upholsterers. The aim of the project was to give them access to the private area of the website with the possibility to visualize the preview of every object in 3D and in AR, directly in the real environment.
THE SOLUTION
Thanks to the 3D Viewer embedded into the private area of the website, architects and designers can visualize in 3D a series of luxury items, download their native file and import the files into the 3D scene, to simulate the positioning inside the project render through augmented reality.
We digitized the entire catalog of design and furniture accessories, mainly made of leather, starting from 2D images. Particular attention was paid to the output of the materials, whose details are zoomable and viewable 480 degrees in full screen.
THE RESULTS
This kind of 3D solution addresses a medium-high B2B target and not the end consumer. For this reason, the benefits for Foglizzo are mainly operational. Being able to manage, internally share and download all the 3D models within our Digital Asset Manager, architects and designers can visualize and place the assets in the 3D scene of their render, streamlining their daily workflow.
