ZAKEKE GOES AGENTIC

You talk to the AI, and the AI does it.

October 2026 Release Notes: Zakeke Goes Agentic

Zakeke update October 2026

This release changes the way you work with Zakeke.

Over the last releases, we brought AI into more and more stages of the merchant experience, from AI-assisted product setup to the AI Image Generator & Transformer. Helpful, but still a copilot: the AI helped, and you did the work.

Now Zakeke goes agentic. You talk to the AI, and the AI does it.

We’re introducing a brand-new onboarding that takes merchants to the right solution, an agentic setup that builds customizable products for you, a new Customizer dashboard, and Design with AI on free designs for your customers.

Here’s what’s new in Zakeke.

1. A Brand-New Onboarding

One question to find the right solution

The new onboarding starts by asking one thing: what do you want to do?

Based on your answer, Zakeke takes you to the right solution. Prefer to look for yourself? You can see all solutions and pick the one you need.

We kept it to a single question on purpose, so nothing stands between you and getting started.

You’re never locked in. You can switch solution at any time, or start the onboarding over, explain better what you need, and Zakeke runs the analysis again.

Land right inside your solution

Choose the Product Customizer and you’re really in the Product Customizer, with its own menu and its own first run. Not a hybrid of everything.

The first run focuses on what you need to start: creating your first customizable product, ideally connected to your store.

Not connected yet? We’ve created demo products you can play with, to check you’ve picked the right solution.

A Backoffice that grows with you

Once your first product is done, the menu opens up, the Customizer dashboard takes shape, and you get suggestions on the tools you can activate, step by step.

2. Agentic Setup

The AI doesn’t help you, it does it for you

This is the heart of the release.

Inside the first run, you can tell the AI what you want to sell, for example “I want to sell customizable t-shirts in three colors”, and the agentic setup begins.

It works like a conversation. The agent knows a product can have more than one side, so it asks which sides to customize, which colors you want, and whether you’ll provide the product images.

Then it creates the preview and the output: your customizable product, with the variants you asked for and its Print Areas.

Something off? Just say it

Want to change something? Tell the agent, for example “The print area is wrong.” Chips let you make quick changes on the fly. When you’re happy, the product goes from draft to published.

There’s no separate interface where you go and fix the agent’s work. That’s a deliberate choice: otherwise we’d be back to interfaces merchants have to figure out.

And you never lose the agent. It’s always reachable from the Customizer dashboard, with the list of your conversations, so you can continue one or start a new one.

What the agent can do today

Today the agent handles the core of product setup, such as customizable products and Printing Methods. For everything else, it points you to the guides.

We’ll keep expanding it, because agentic is going to become the main way to use the Zakeke Backoffice.

3. A New Customizer Dashboard

The Customizer dashboard has been redesigned around the Customizer only, with no other solutions mixed in.

Once the onboarding is done, it shows everything you need to manage it:

  • Your numbers, such as products, connected sales channels and orders, with a quick widget to your orders
  • Needs attention, with important alerts like a broken product, an order that wasn’t imported or an order with an error
  • Analytics preview, with incoming orders and your best sellers, and more analytics on the way
  • Widgets you can add, a bit like on your phone, with more coming as we find the most useful ones
  • The agent, always one click away.

4. Design with AI, Now on Free Designs

On the storefront, Design with AI used to work only with templates. Now it works with free designs too.

Merchants can also decide that AI is the first way customers interact with the product, instead of a button in the sidebar.

Customers start with a prompt, write what they want, for example “add the text Carlo in red”, and move into the conversational mode, with everything else Zakeke does still available.

This release represents a new step in how merchants, and their customers, interact with Zakeke. The nature of our solutions doesn’t change. What changes is how you use them.

From a brand-new onboarding to an agent that sets up your products, this update brings AI from helping you to doing the work for you.

And as always, we’re already working on what’s next.
